New Honda Civic Hybrid Review

My friend is doing his part to save our mother earth and his wallet by purchasing a 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid.  He sent me a note with some pictures and thought it would be of interest to my blog readers.

Hello car folks … here are some shots of my new car - a 2006 Honda
Civic Hybrid w/Navigation (one-speed automatic CVT transmission). I
actually haven’t been home much in the daylight all week to get anything
other than these shots in front of our place but I’d like to get some
photos of it on the road in action and things like that at some point.

The “display screen” is a combo Navigation/Audio screen. It has the
standard FM1, FM2, and AM presets and a single CD in-dash player (behind
the screen). The “techno/geek” feature is a slot for a PCMCIA card that
accepts a Compact Flash card so that is the photo of the display with
the word “CARD” in the upper right and showing that the song is a WMA
format. About 1,500 songs on the 2-Gig compact flash card right now and
you can view them by folder, artist, title, etc. Lots of fun.

Other features will be discovered as I drive it. First fill-up was 410
miles on the tank and 10.5 gallons installed for an average of 39 mpg
right off the showroom floor (i.e. not broken in so a little under
recommended economy).

–Flash!
