2006 LINCOLN Recall Information
Recall information is vital to keeping yourself and family safe. I regularly check the Recalls on my vehicles to make sure I have the best equipment on my car. If you have a Recall on your vehicle, it’s critical that you contact your local dealership and have them service your vehicle. Not all vehicles are covered in a Recall, when you call your dealer, they will tell you if your vehicle is covered. I may not have all the latest Recall information listed below (it can change day to day) but I know someone who does… Alldata has up to date recall information for your vehicle, as well as repair information and technical servrice bulletins. If you don’t know what a TSB is, click hear to learn more.

Model: MARK LT | Part Effected: VISIBILITY:WINDSHIELD WIPER/WASHER:MOTOR |
Summary of Recall: ON CERTAIN TRUCKS, PASSENGER CARS AND SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, THE WINDSHIELD WIPER MOTOR MAY HAVE BEEN PRODUCED WITHOUT GREASE BEING APPLIED TO THE OUTPUT SHAFT GEAR.
Consequences of Failure: AFTER A PERIOD OF CONTINUOUS USE ON THE HIGH SPEED SETTING, LACK OF GREASE ON THE OUTPUT SHAFT GEAR MAY CAUSE THE GEAR TO DISTORT OR FRACTURE DURING OPERATION RESULTING IN A LOSS OF WIPER FUNCTION. INOPERATIVE WIPERS UNDER INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS COULD CAUSE A CRASH DUE TO IMPAIRED VISIBILITY. |

Model: NAVIGATOR | Part Effected: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION |
Summary of Recall: CERTAIN PASSENGER VEHICLES MAY HAVE BEEN BUILT WITH AN INCORRECTLY MANUFACTURED AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION PARKING PAWL GUIDE PLATE.
Consequences of Failure: THIS COULD CAUSE THE PARKING LOCK SYSTEM NOT TO ENGAGE, AFTER THE TRANSMISSION IS PLACED IN THE PARK (”P”) POSITION. IF THE VEHICLE WAS PARKED ON AN INCLINE, AND THE PARKING BRAKE WAS NOT ENGAGED, THIS COULD RESULT IN A VEHICLE ROLLAWAY CONDITION. |
